I am a classically trained actor. A Wellesley College alumna, I graduated Magna Cum Laude in three years, with a major in Independent Theatre Studies and an undeclared minor in Medieval & Renaissance History. I took conservatory with The National Theatre Institute at The Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center. Continuing my professional education, I have studied with Shakespeare & Company, The Second City, The Clown School, The Meisner Center of Los Angeles, and Kalmenson & Kalmenson.
Professionally, I work on stage and screen as a physical comedienne, and an audiobook narrator. Savvy, playfully edgy, endearingly neurotic, confident with a hip, wry vibe, I'm sprite like a kick in the pants, “a little bubble up with your shut up”.
I bring to my work a comedic timing honed over decades of professional clowning. Since 2001 I have owned a small business dedicated to providing events with high quality clown entertainment.
In other avenues, I am the Dungeon Master, a High Priestess and a subtle body trauma release coach.
My guiding principle is, “There are two types of people in this world...and you're one of them." I decide every day which of those two I want to be, and get on with it.
“I knew when I first met Tegan Ashton Cohan that I had met someone very special who I would know for many, many years in this industry. Few people are so talented, so savvy, so grounded, so WILD, and so very very very in love with life. It is a DELIGHT to spend time with, work with, KNOW Tegan. I cannot wait to cast this magical sprite again.”
